A priest from the DPR compared Zelensky with Emperor Nero

“If there is trouble in Rome, the Christians are to blame”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky these days launched the process of the actual liquidation of canonical Ukrainian Orthodoxy. After the SBU searches conducted in key monasteries and dioceses, experts predict the looting of church property and the alienation of monasteries and churches. A well-known modern poet, father Dimitry (Tribushny) from the capital of the DPR, commented on the new round of the crisis to MK:
– For any person who is interested in religious life in Ukraine without engagement, it is obvious: the UOC is the state Church. She blesses the Ukrainian soldiers and takes care of the wounded. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill has not been commemorated at divine services for a long time, and if one of the clergy preaches openly Russophobic ideas, he is not brought to the church court.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is the only hope for those who dream of a possible miracle of restoring peace between fraternal peoples. The hope of those who did not let the confrontation into their hearts.
The Donetsk clergyman emphasized that only a common faith “unites those tragically divided” by the architects of the new order.
– They are working hard to isolate Russia, the destruction of the last bridge between Russians and Ukrainians is not only a political but also a mystical necessity for them. They will not rest until they cut all ties between Moscow and Kyiv. A new round of persecution, caused by an obviously far-fetched pretext (a song about the Mother of God without political overtones), also allows you to divert the attention of your own citizens from internal problems. Even Nero taught that if there is trouble in Rome, the Christians are to blame.
