The day after the video was published, the main character of the video did not appear at the temple. Church officials clarified the situation.

“Deacon Alexander was on that video, I called him, he categorically refused to communicate with journalists,” the woman said.

– Are there really no parishioners in the Temple?

– To say that absolutely no one walks is impossible. But I wish there were more people. Only when the mobilization began, people went to the temple – both the mobilized themselves and their relatives. As they say, they need to put a candle, buy a charm. But the fact is that they are still far from faith. Although all Christians are baptized. But they are not entirely in the faith.

Why then did the deacon say that the churches were empty?

– He meant that people do not go to the liturgy, there are few true believing Christians. That’s what he meant.

– That is, before the mobilization, there really was no one?

– Yes. But when the mobilization happened, it began. But again, people go only to ask God. But one must not only ask the Lord to give life and health, one must also give thanks. Of course, I agree that Deacon Alexander’s speech looked a little comical.

— Yes, there is. Although in principle, he is right, but not the time and not the place where to say all this.

— Do you have the only church in the city?

—Our main church, there is another small church on the outskirts of the city. The rector of our church, Father Vladimir. I’m never ashamed of him. But he did not speak to the conscripts.

– Many people were mobilized from your city?

– Judging by the notes that were left in the temple, decently. No one began to run away, hide. This suggests that men are well educated. Although they could have escaped, we have here Siberia, the wilderness, the taiga, there are plenty of opportunities to hide. People just don’t have that desire.
