Details of the discovery in Moscow of the mummified bodies of a 90-year-old woman and her 57-year-old son in an apartment on Banny Lane have become known. The man drank heavily, and the pensioner was not walking.
As MK found out, residents of the building reported the unpleasant smell coming from the apartment on the 7th floor to the police on December 18. It soon became clear that none of the neighbors had seen the residents of the apartment from where the stench was coming from for more than two months.
A woman and her son lived in this apartment. The man did not work anywhere and at first took care of his elderly mother. They lived on the pension and social benefits that the elderly woman received. According to neighbors, Muscovites were closed in nature and communicated with few people; neither relatives nor friends came to visit them.
In the last few years, the man began to drink heavily and often went on a binge. Neighbors rarely saw him sober. The pensioner had previously been actively treated for numerous diseases that tormented her. However, a couple of years ago she almost stopped leaving the apartment because she had problems with her legs.
After opening the apartment, police found the body of a man lying on the floor in the living room. Apparently he died first. In the same room, on a chair, they found the mummified corpse of a pensioner. The locks on the front door were locked from the inside, so there is no question of the criminal nature of the death.
