The third day continues raids on teenagers in shopping centers in Moscow – “Aviapark”, “Marcos Mall” and others. The reason was mass brawls between members of the so-called Redan PMC (a new youth group) and their opponents. We found out from one of the participants in the incidents what caused the conflict in the first place, and who is behind the warring parties.
The mass brawl between teenagers between “anime people” and “jocks”, which began in the Aviapark shopping center on February 19, continued in the subway 4 days later. On February 23, a group of 20 aggressive thugs beat up a 14-year-old boy and sprayed him with pepper spray at the Lubyanka station.
As the victim in the fight told MK, on that day he and a company of 10 people (boys and girls aged 14-15) were in Detsky Mir near the Lubyanka metro station. Around 7 pm they were accosted by a group of aggressive young men in sportswear.
– What caused the conflict?
– We were at the food court and noticed that people with bald heads began to accumulate around us, and they began to take pictures of us, there were about 20 of them. One girl from our company approached them to find out what was the matter. They told her that now there will be a continuation of the conflict. Revenge for a fight in the Aviapark shopping center. And we have no conflict with them, we do not belong to Redan PMC at all. One guy had a spider painted on his clothes, and they confused us with them. On the advice of the guard, we decided to leave, and they followed us. When we got down to the subway, they ran after us.
– What happened in the subway?
– We stood in the subway, their company stood near us, they showed different gestures, insulted. Then they sprinkled me with “pepper”, I tried to run away, they threw me down and started kicking me. All this lasted for about 5 seconds. Then people started screaming, the police came.
– Did you hit hard, are there any injuries?
Yes, there are places on the body that hurt, but there was no blood or bruising, I got off lightly, passers-by quickly came to the rescue.
– The rest of your company stood nearby?
– No, when they splashed me in the face, everyone immediately began to scatter, my friends ran to the subway exit. There, my friend was also sprayed in the face with pepper spray.
We managed to communicate with the mother of the injured girl, who was sprayed with pepper spray in the face. According to her, her daughter got acquainted with this company about a month ago. After the incident, the mother checked all her daughter’s clothes, but did not find any symbols of the scandalous subculture. However, the woman claims that she recognized from the photograph, which was posted by teenagers on social networks familiar to her daughter, they were in the photo with the Redan PMC symbols: spiders on clothes, plaid pants, and black hair. Therefore, it can be assumed that young people are cunning and are still connected in a certain way with the new subculture.
Recall that the first mass brawl took place on February 19 in a shopping center near the CSKA metro station. Then young people in sportswear stuck to the company of teenagers in “clothes with spiders”. A mass brawl ensued, the video of this conflict quickly spread across the network. On February 22, there was another skirmish between the same groups of teenagers. Then the police detained about 20 people. After that, police patrols began to be on duty at the entrance to the shopping center. On February 23, around 21.00, another skirmish took place between representatives of youth subcultures, this time in another shopping center.
In fact, we are talking about a clash of two groups of teenagers. The first are fond of Japanese anime, they call themselves PMC “Redan”. Teenagers oppose the “right”, skinheads. They wear clothes with the image of a spider with the number 4, dye their hair black. The second group is the so-called “off-brands”, some athletes of “right-wing” views, who often find fault with teenagers with a non-standard appearance (this type of claim is called “explain the gear” in slang) and catch anime fans.
