In Bryansk, the construction of a large Winter Sports Palace, the overhaul of the main road artery of the Fokinsky district – Moskovsky Avenue, and the improvement of various facilities are brewing. The head of the district administration, Alexander Gavrilov, spoke at an operational meeting today, January 23, about how the assigned tasks will be solved.

It is known that a location has already been determined for the long-awaited sports facility in the Orlovsky microdistrict. The palace will be built near the road department. There will be a ski lodge nearby. The facility is expected to occupy 3,700 square meters. Construction will take place under the national project “Demography” and the regional project “Sport is the norm of life”.

The improvement of Moskovsky Avenue will be overhauled in the area from Karachevskoye Highway to the overpass across the Bryansk-II station railway. Experts intend to begin work in April. At the same time, it is planned to renovate Beloberezhskaya, Koltsevaya and Snezhetskaya streets.

Specialists will also repair two courtyards that unite six multi-storey buildings. In seven high-rise buildings in the Fokinsky district, replacement of elevator equipment is underway. Also in the coming year, the construction of an extension to Children’s Art School No. 10 will be completed.

“If the overhaul of one school, No. 28, was completed in 2023, then this year builders will begin the overhaul of two more – No. 51 and 55,” noted Alexander Gavrilov.

In parallel, it is planned to develop other facilities, including the construction of a water pipeline in the Kovshovka microdistrict, the press service of the mayor’s office reported.
