A Novgorodian became a prize-winner of the Russian Orienteering Championship

The Novgorod athlete successfully performed at the Russian orienteering championship in Kislovodsk. This was reported by the Ministry of Sports of the Novgorod Region.

About 1,000 athletes from 46 Russian regions took part in the competition. Kirill Kapparov took second place in the long distance, losing only 7 seconds to the winner. At the classic distance from the general start, the Novgorodian won bronze.

Kirill Kapparov is a student of the sports training center of the Novgorod region and trains under the guidance of coach Elena Gavrina. Novgorod athlete Maria Suvorova also entered the top 10 participants in the competition.
