The new Ufa sports and recreation complex, which will begin work in the second half of February, will be named in honor of Ulfat Mustafin. Construction of this sports facility in the capital of Bashkiria began in 2022. The three-story sports and recreation center is located in Ufa on Mendeleev Street between the Ak Yort ski center and the VDNH-Expo site.
“Construction and installation work is being completed at the facility,” said the Minister of Sports of Bashkiria Ruslan Khabibov. — Specialists are laying wrestling mats and flooring in the halls, finishing painting the walls, installing ceilings and stair railings.
The sports center, with an area of 9.5 thousand square meters, houses an ice arena, a wrestling hall, a universal sports and gym, as well as large and small swimming pools. More than 400 children will be able to study here for free.
“Children will come to the new sports and recreation center to play sports, become physically strong people, adults will also work out here, and the facility is actually unique – four in one,” said the head of the Republic of Belarus, Radiy Khabirov, who visited the construction site. — It will open its doors in the second half of February. This will be a good gift for our children and the capital of Bashkiria on the eve of its 450th anniversary.
The head of the region emphasized that the republic’s authorities pay great attention to the development of sports in Bashkiria, especially children’s, and in addition to the anniversary facilities, several more gyms are being built under the public-private partnership scheme.
“But there is still a lot of work ahead, the interest of our residents in physical education and sports is growing,” concluded Radiy Faritovich. “Therefore, we will continue to improve the sports infrastructure throughout the region.
