A series of open lessons dedicated to the issues of financial literacy of children and adolescents has started in the schools of the capital. The events are held as part of the All-Russian Savings Week, organized by the Moscow Department of Finance.
According to the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the Moscow Department of Finance Elena Zyabbarovachildren will be told about the history and function of money, elementary school students will be shown popular cartoons dedicated to financial literacy, in particular, the cartoon “The ABC of Financial Literacy with Smeshariki”, experts will discuss with schoolchildren various life situations related to managing personal finances, explain why you need to be financially literate and be able to manage money properly.
— Open lessons in Moscow schools are an educational project of the Department of Finance. This format of classes allows for direct contact with children, makes it possible to widely use game elements and the possibilities of modern multimedia educational technologies,” the minister noted. — The project is aimed at developing basic financial literacy skills among schoolchildren. Most behavior patterns, including financial ones, are laid down at a young age. And our task is to contribute as much as possible to the education of financially responsible, literate citizens.
