A new path will be laid to “Russian offshores” // The State Duma is considering a bill to expand the ways of “moving” to the Russian Federation

The State Duma is ready to adopt in the first reading a bill on a new procedure for “moving” foreign companies to Russian special administrative regions (SAR). This can happen through incorporation – that is, the creation by a foreign founder of a new company in “Russian offshores”. This possibility is provided for cases where the law of the country does not allow or hinders “direct” redomiciliation. The “relocators” are also promised more flexible corporate governance to recreate the current order in foreign legal entities. Experts believe that the initiatives are quite capable of simplifying the process of changing the “registration” of companies – both in terms of making such a decision, and the move itself.
