A new multifunctional sports ground was opened in the village of Rodnikovskaya in the Kurganinsky district of the Kuban, the facility was built at the expense of the state program “Development of physical culture and sports,” the press service of the administration of the Krasnodar Territory reports.
The sports ground with a modern seamless surface is equipped for team sports, including handball, mini-football and basketball. The equipment and simulators at the facility are made of high quality materials.
As noted by the Minister of Sports of the region, Serafim Timchenko, about 5,000 people live in the village. The new site will help increase the number of people who systematically go in for sports. Currently, there are 20 sections in the village, in which about 2,000 people are involved.
According to the vice-governor of the region Alexander Vlasov, 117 million rubles were allocated for the construction of a sports ground, over the past period 19 such sites have already been built in 18 municipalities. Another 10 objects will be completed by the end of the year. The construction of at least 15 multifunctional sports grounds in the Kuban is already planned for 2023.
It should be noted that as part of the opening of the facility, demonstration competitions of football players from the Omega club, the Taekwondo and Kickboxing Federation of the Kurganinsky District, the Vorkaut extreme sports club, the Muromtsy army hand-to-hand combat section and creative teams of the stanitsa cultural and leisure center were held.
