In May of this year, a new martial arts center was opened in the Kushchevsky district. A sports facility with an area of about 1,500 square meters was built in the village of Kushchevskaya. The work was carried out under the program “Development of public infrastructure”.
The solemn ceremony was attended by Vice Governor of Kuban Alexander Vlasov, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the region Serafim Timchenko, deputy of the Legislative Assembly Sergey Kosyanikov. According to the parliamentarian, for young residents of the municipality, the opening of the Center is a great motivation to go in for sports. On the basis of the facility there are all the necessary conditions for productive training. For example, 3 wrestling mats are laid here, a gym and medical rooms are equipped.
“The modern possibilities of the complex are the beginning of a new stage in the development of physical education in the region. The coaching staff and athletes receive unique conditions for the qualitative growth of their achievements and results,” Sergey Kosyanikov emphasized.
As part of the ceremony, the pupils of the Kushchevskaya sports school “Leader” were given the opportunity to cut the ribbon. Alexander Vlasov also presented the children with a symbolic key to the Center.
