Validity periods for foreign driver’s licenses have been determined
According to changes in Russian legislation, which come into force on April 1, foreign driver’s licenses will be valid in Russia for a year. RIA Novosti writes about this; the corresponding document was published on the legal information portal.
As stated in the document, the alternative is for the driver to obtain a residence permit in the Russian Federation or Russian citizenship. In any case, foreign driver’s licenses will become invalid exactly one year from the date the law comes into force.
At the same time, within a year, foreigners will be able to obtain a license without passing exams.
