A new hockey season will open in the Northern Fleet

The grand opening of the 2023-2024 hockey season will take place on November 26 at the Northern Fleet indoor ice arena in the city of Severomorsk. Starts at 11:00.
The ceremony will be conducted by the commander of the fleet, Hero of Russia, Admiral Alexander Moiseev. All teams of the Northern Military Hockey League will gather on the ice.
The new season will begin with a friendly meeting between the teams of the anti-submarine ships of the Kola Flotilla of heterogeneous forces “Shkval” and “Dalubnik”.
As part of the event, a field kitchen will be open for hockey fans, and the Northern Fleet Orchestra will also perform. Everyone will be able to take memorable shots with mascots – life-size puppets-mascots of hockey teams.
Among the main events of the fleet are games for the Northern Fleet Commander’s Cup (November 2023 – April 2024), games of the qualifying stage of the hockey league and the Murmansk Regional Ice Hockey Championship.
In total, 14 teams of the Northern Military Hockey League will take part in the new season.
The day before, a friendly hockey match was held at the Northern Fleet. Previously “MK in Murmansk” reportedthat the Severomorsk team won the game.
