Tennis player Anna Danilina, representing Kazakhstan, and Finnish tennis player Harri Helievaara became champions of the US Open in mixed doubles. In the final they defeated Americans Jessica Pegula and Austin Krajicek – 6:3, 6:4.
Danilina and Helievaara won their first Grand Slam titles. They met shortly before the US Open.
Anna Danilina is a native of Moscow. She represented Russia until 2011. Previously, Danilina won four titles at WTA doubles tournaments.
Moscow-born Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev has reached the men’s US Open final. He will fight with Serbian Novak Djokovic for victory.
