A native of Kabardino-Balkaria became the winner of the World Freestyle Wrestling Championship

A native of Kabardino-Balkaria, Inalbek Sheriev, as part of the Russian national team, won the gold medal at the World Championship in freestyle wrestling, the press service of the republican government reported.
The U-23 World Wrestling Championships took place in the capital of Albania – Tirana. Athletes from different countries took part in the competition and fought for the title of champion on the international stage.
In the final bout in the weight category up to 70 kilograms, Inalbek Sheriev defeated an athlete from Japan with a score of 9:3. Inalbek is trained by Anzor Khachemakhov and Anzor Urishev.
On October 28, Greco-Roman wrestler from Kabardino-Balkaria Aues Gonibov will compete at the World Championships in the weight category up to 82 kilograms.
It was previously reported that a native of Kabardino-Balkaria, Maria Lasitskene, took bronze at the all-Russian competition.
