Varfolomeeva brought Germany the first gold in 47 years at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships. The last time the country won such an award was in 1975. The Russian athlete took the third medal in the championship – she received silver in the ball exercise and bronze in the hoop exercise.
Daria was born in Barnaul in 2006. Her mother received CCM in gymnastics and decided that her daughter should follow in her footsteps. The girl has been doing gymnastics since the age of three. She moved to Germany in 2019 at the invitation, writes RBC.
