A national military cemetery will be built near Kyiv

In Ukraine, a national military memorial cemetery will be built near Kiev, the Politika strany Telegram channel reports, citing the text of a government decree.
As noted, the project for the construction of the cemetery has already been approved by the Cabinet.
According to the document, the cemetery should be created before August 30, 2025 in the village of Gatnoye, Fastovsky district, Kyiv region, which borders on Kiev.
It is noted that two land plots of 258.73 hectares and 7.96 hectares will be allocated for the arrangement of the cemetery in the village of Gatnoe.
The counter-offensive operation advertised in Kyiv began on June 4 in the South-Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Artyomovsk directions. Ukraine threw into the battle units trained by instructors from the North Atlantic Alliance and armed with Western-made equipment. Nevertheless, as Russian President Vladimir Putin noted, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not achieved success in any of the sectors of the front and are suffering colossal losses.
On August 4, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that since the beginning of the counteroffensive, in June-July, Ukrainian troops had lost more than 43 thousand people and over 4.9 thousand weapons. Among the destroyed Ukrainian equipment are 26 aircraft, nine helicopters, 1831 armored vehicles, including 25 German Leopard tanks, seven French AMX wheeled tanks and 21 American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
