The press service of the Sevastopol police reports that a Moscow resident faces a fine of up to three million rubles for graffiti on the destroyer.
According to the department, the Sevastopol police opened a criminal case against a graffiti artist who damaged a cultural heritage site of regional significance. Police data indicate that a 37-year-old Muscovite left a provocative drawing on the naval artillery gun of the destroyer “Boikiy” at the 11th coastal battery. The vandal explained his actions by saying that with the help of graffiti he wanted to leave his “calling card for the hero city.”
The police indicated that it later turned out that the man had previously been prosecuted for vandalism and theft. It is noted that the attacker is charged under the article on destruction or damage to objects of cultural heritage, under which he faces a fine of up to three million rubles, compulsory labor for up to 400 hours, forced labor for up to three years, or imprisonment for up to three years.
