The Ural Airlines plane, which made an emergency landing in a wheat field in the Novosibirsk region on September 12, can take off after accelerating on frozen ground. The head of the Ubinsky district of the Novosibirsk region Oleg Konyuk spoke about this.
According to him, it is possible to agree with the agricultural producer on the preservation of this area of the field as a runway. This involves leveling the ground with a grader and possibly maintaining it with water to create conditions for the aircraft to accelerate and take off. A field length of 4.5 kilometers is considered sufficient for this purpose.
In addition, other options are being considered to eliminate the consequences of the incident, such as dismantling the aircraft on site or transporting it using special vehicles.
The plane, according to experts, did not suffer serious damage and can be used for future flights.
