A meeting of track and field athletes in memory of Heino Mehin will be held in the Pskov region

The 27th traditional meeting of the cities of Russia and Belarus in athletics, dedicated to the memory of Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation Heino Mehine, will be held in the Pskov region from October 20 to 22. “MK in Pskov” was informed about this by the press service of the regional government.

The event, which will bring together about 400 athletes, will take place at the Mashinostroitel stadium. Winners and runners-up will be awarded medals and certificates. And the athletes who can set a competition record will receive cups.

Let us remind you that the meeting is held every year. Its goal is to improve health and promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as popularize athletics in the region.

Heino Mehine is an excellent student of physical education, Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation. Since 1967, he served as chairman of the Pskov Region Athletics Federation. In 1970, he headed the city committee for physical culture and sports under the Pskov City Executive Committee. Under the leadership of Heino Mehine, athletes from the region became champions and record holders in various competitions.

Throughout his professional career, Heino Mehine trained a number of champions and record holders of the region, prize-winners of all-Union competitions.
