A man who passed data on military equipment to Ukraine was detained in Crimea

In Crimea, on suspicion of treason, a man was detained who was passing information about military equipment to the enemy. About it informs TASS with reference to the press service of the FSB of Russia.

According to the agency, the suspect sent video recordings of the movement of military equipment of the Ministry of Defense towards the special operation zone to a chat bot in one of the Ukrainian Telegram channels. The FSB clarified that the Ukrainian special services use this channel to collect intelligence.

Subsequently, information about the movement of equipment was received by the military of Ukraine and used for launching missile strikes.

In April, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law a law imposing life sentences for high treason. Prior to this, the law was adopted by the State Duma and approved by the Federation Council. Amendments were made to Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Prior to this, the maximum punishment under the article was 20 years in prison with a fine of 500,000 rubles.
