A humanitarian aid distribution hub will be created in the Kherson region

The authorities of the Kherson region plan to create a volunteer resource center in the village of Genicheskaya Gorka on the Arabatskaya Strelka spit for the distribution of humanitarian aid coming from various regions of Russia. This was announced by the Minister of Youth Policy of the region Igor Astranin in an interview with TASS.
According to Astranin, the center will begin its work next year. Currently, organizational measures are being carried out together with the leadership of the region. This week, the defense of the institution, which will be the main humanitarian hub with the participation of young people, will begin.
The minister also noted that volunteer organizations will be united under the auspices of the ONF (All-Russian Popular Front) and the “We Are Together” headquarters. The building, which will become the new home for volunteers, is already being formalized together with the Ministry of Land Relations. The nearby area could be turned into a hangar for loading and unloading humanitarian aid.
Astranin explained that many humanitarian funds, providing assistance to new regions, come to Genichesk. The Azov route, which runs from Crimea to Rostov-on-Don, is a convenient route for them, and it is not very convenient for them to go to distant places, especially to the front. Our task is to create a primary hub in Genichesk, which will receive this assistance and distribute it throughout the region, starting from Novaya Kakhovka and ending with the Iron Port and Gola Pristan.
