The regional sports committee and the city department for youth affairs report that in the village of Shuvalovo near Kostroma, on February 2, the next XXIV children’s hockey tournament, dedicated to the memory of the legendary coach and founder of the Golden Puck club Anatoly Tarasov, was solemnly opened.
This time, 6 teams from the Vladimir, Ivanovo, Arkhangelsk and Kostroma regions, made up of players 10-11 years old, came to the competition in Shuvalovo – and some teams are mixed, with both boys and girls playing. And they play, it must be said, quite well, sometimes defeating purely boy squads with a crushing score (as, for example, the ULK team from the Arkhangelsk region defeated Sharya’s Zarya with a score of 7:0)
The competition will be held in a round robin system – everyone will be each other’s opponents. The closing of the tournament will take place tomorrow, Sunday, February 4, and the winners will be announced then.
