The Sokol Sports Palace in Uvarov hosted an open hockey tournament in honor of the city’s birthday. Three teams met on the ice rink.
Hockey was played by young athletes aged 12-14 from Tambov, Morshansk and Uvarov. The games were played in a round robin system. As a result, the team of HC “Tambov” took the first place, the second – HC “Storm” from Morshansk, and the owners of the ice field – the Uvarov team “Sokol”, became the third.
The winners were awarded cups, medals and diplomas. The best goalkeeper of the tournament was the Sokol hockey player Danil Alyoshin. Train Uvarov hockey players Alexei Paramonov and Alexei Shmelev.
The Uvarovskaya Zhizn newspaper writes that the City Day hockey tournament may become an annual event.
