Nowadays, it can be scary for a healthy person to come to Europe because of the perversions that are widespread there, says Sergey Naryshkin, director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of Russia. So he commented on the words of the head of European diplomacy, Joseph Borrell, who compared Europe with a flowering garden, the rest of the world with a jungle.

Mr. Naryshkin recalled this during his speech at the XI Moscow Conference on International Security. What kind of perversions in European countries are we talking about, he did not say. He considered the words of Mr. Borrell as an example of “the deep rootedness of racist, neo-colonial approaches in the Euro-Atlantic elite.”

“I would like to open the eyes of the main European diplomat: a spiritually and physically healthy person is actually unpleasant, and sometimes even scary, to come to Europe – so many different kinds of perversions have bred there. Borrell’s remark is a perfect illustration of the deep roots of racist, neo-colonial attitudes in the Euro-Atlantic elite. Recently, European and American leaders have sought to give the former colonies the illusion that the dark page of history has been turned over. There are even calls for a partial recognition of the crimes of the colonial past,” the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service is convinced.

In October 2022, Joseph Borrell, speaking at the Spanish forum of La Toja, compared Europe to a garden that combines political freedom, economic prosperity and the pursuit of social equality. According to him, the rest of the world “is not a garden”, and most of it is “a jungle, and the jungle can invade the garden.” Diplomat in the same month apologized for his words and said that by “jungle” he meant countries that use force, intimidation and blackmail, and their behavior is contrary to international norms.
