A group of Jehovah’s Witnesses has been sentenced in Moscow

On Friday, the Babushkinsky District Court sentenced five prisoners who had created the Jehovah’s Witnesses Administrative Center in Moscow (recognized as an extremist organization, banned on the territory of the Russian Federation).
The religious extremist association existed from June 2020 to November 2021. The defendants studied religious literature that promoted the teachings of a banned organization, and also recruited residents of Moscow and other regions into their ranks. Today, the court sentenced five organizers: Yuri Chernyshev, Ivan Tchaikovsky, Vitaly Komarov, Sergey Shatalov – imprisonment for 6 years and 3 months. Vardan Zakaryan – 4 years 3 months. All prohibited literature is ordered to be destroyed.
