In the VK group “NEWS Sharya” there was a message about the successful performance of Sharya athletes at the javelin throwing competition, which has just ended in the city of Sochi. Vladislav Shumilov and Victoria Chervyakova, pupils of the Sharya School of Olympic Reserve, brought gold medals from the javelin throwing competitions to the Kostroma Region.
Vladislav, speaking in the age category of young men under 23 years old, threw a spear at 70.66 meters; Victoria was the best among the girls throwing a javelin at 48.46 meters. Two more athletes from Sharya also achieved notable results, though not prize-winning ones: in the category of girls under 18, Svetlana Onegina took 4th place, and Ksenia Vorontsova – 6th.
