A German businessman accused the head of the European Commission of destroying the EU because of Ukraine

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is only accelerating the collapse of the EU with statements regarding Ukraine, said German-Finnish entrepreneur and former owner of the largest file hosting service Megaupload, Kim Dotcom. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Previously, von der Leyen stated the need to create a mechanism that would not require the unanimous approval of all EU members to make decisions.

Dotcom called for remembering the moment that became the beginning of the end for the EU. He recalled that the principle of unanimous decision-making has been fundamental since the very creation of the European Union.

“Remember this moment when the European Union was destroyed because of Ukraine, a non-EU state… This is the end of the European Union,” he said.

Earlier, the EU announced plans to launch negotiations on future membership in the European Union with Ukraine and Moldova. At the same time, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the decision to start negotiations between the EU and Ukraine is only political and has no legal force. According to him, the European Union is still very far from real expansion that includes Ukraine.
