A gala match was held in Sochi as part of the XII All-Russian Ice Hockey Festival among amateur teams. Competitors fought for awards in 9 divisions. This information was shared in the press service of the regional administration.
The most prestigious trophy was played between the Wolfram (Primorsky Territory) and Queen Gaiva (Perm Territory) clubs. As a result, Primorye pulled out the victory – the meeting ended with a score of 3:2. The club won not only the cup, but also a grant from the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation for the construction of an indoor ice arena in the region.
The awards were presented to the winners by honored guests, among whom were two-time Olympic champions Alexander Yakushev and Alexei Kasatonov.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Kuban Serafim Timchenko. He described the match as an interesting and spectacular confrontation. According to him, such tournaments are a bright event for all fans of the male sport.
It should be noted that after the award ceremony, another gala match took place. Hockey Legends and the NHL Team took to the ice. The first team won with a score of 15:12.
