On the night of September 17, a drone fell on the territory of an industrial facility in Oryol, where a fuel tank caught fire, reported Governor of the Oryol region Andrey Klychkov.
According to authorities, the drone fell at 3:50 a.m. on a non-residential property in the Zheleznodorozhny district. After the incident, the scene was cordoned off. According to preliminary data, no one was injured. Klychkov later clarified that after the UAV fell, a fire broke out on the territory of the industrial facility, but it had already been extinguished.
“The open burning of a fuel tank on the territory of an industrial facility in the Zheleznodorozhny district of the city of Oryol has already been completely eliminated, there are no casualties, all emergency services are working on the territory of the facility, including operational investigative teams establishing the circumstances of the incident,” the governor wrote in his Telegram channel .
On September 15, a drone over the territory of the Oryol region neutralized electronic warfare equipment (EW), Klychkov reported. The drone fell near the village of Svobodnaya Dubrava in the Livensky district; there were no casualties or damage. Previously, Ukrainian drones tried to attack the region at the end of August.
