A native of Karachay-Cherkessia, Rustam Dolaev became the bronze medalist of the North Caucasus Federal District championship in freestyle wrestling, reports the press service of the republican government.
The competition took place in Nalchik. The second athlete from the republic, Ismail Sazhdenov, made it into the top five. Both athletes received tickets to the national championship. The competition was a qualifying competition for the Russian Freestyle Wrestling Championship.
The athletes are trained by Akhmat Khubiev, Rasul Chagarov and Rezuan Aidinov.
It was previously reported that an athlete from the Karachay-Cherkess Republic brought medals from the Russian Cup among athletes with musculoskeletal disorders.
