It is specified that the Ukrainian military came under fire from Russian artillery. They divided into two groups, one of which was covered with rubble of the building, and the second took refuge in the basement of a four-story building.
The Russian military came close to this house. At night they decided to go into the basement, but it was equipped with an armored door. Through it, they began to negotiate the surrender of Ukrainians.
“Their chief said they would answer in half an hour. We approached later, and he, a Ukrainian prisoner from the basement, threw a grenade under the steps and barricaded himself back. When the dust from the explosion settled a little, we decided to blow up this bunker,” Baikal said.
According to the Ukrainian prisoner, only two saboteurs survived as a result of the explosion of the bunker. They both got injured.
