“Wow!” – under this motto, the first festival of humor was held at the Moscow school No. 2120.
The guys could perform at the festival of laughter with any numbers – a skit, stand-up, a humorous song, a musical number, a satirical miniature, a comic interlude. Two important conditions: all numbers had to be, firstly, on the theme “School” or “Spring” and, secondly, cheerful and funny.
The “discovery” of the festival was the ninth-grader Masha Bedina, performing under the stage name Marusya Popova. The girl, who previously did not show much interest in literary creativity, wrote and perfectly performed a stand-up from the stage about her trip to her grandmother in the village. She talked about life in the country, visiting the toilet, which can be reached through potato plantations only with a navigator, gopnik geese and neighbor’s hungry dogs. Also, the young comedian drew a parallel between friendship and math problems, saying: “What kind of friend is Petya to Vasya if Petya ate six out of 10 apples ?!” For a bright number, the audience awarded the girl with applause and yellow emoticons.
The host of the festival, 11th-grader Dmitry Chernykh, delivered a lot of funny minutes to the audience. Like a real showman, he improvised and “held” the hall between numbers. This is not Dmitry’s first appearance on the school stage. He, like DJ VLAGA, won the DJ battle.
According to Elena Savelyeva, Director of Education at School No. 2120, such events not only allow schoolchildren to demonstrate their talents, develop self-confidence, overcome fear of the public, but also create a friendly atmosphere at school.
