A famous athlete will teach residents of Petrozavodsk how to throw javelins

All-Russian javelin throwing competitions will be held in Petrozavodsk. As the Sports Directorate said, on October 1, the “Silver Spear” competition will be held at the Yunost stadium.

Both young and adult athletes from Karelia, Crimea, St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Moscow and Leningrad regions will compete for the title of best thrower.

The organizers promise to hold a master class on javelin throwing from athlete Roman Avramenko.

Previously an elderly athlete from Sortavala raised a barbell weighing half a ton.
