A court in Moscow refused to arrest an ex-doctor at a children’s hospital for lying about the army.

The Tushinsky District Court of Moscow refused to allow investigators to arrest former pediatrician Nadezhda Buyanova, accused under Part 1 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (dissemination of false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). The court chose a preventive measure for her in the form of a ban on certain actions, the woman was released from custody in the courtroom, reports press service of the court.

The case against the former doctor was ordered yesterday, February 2, by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. The Investigative Committee referred to media reports according to which a pediatrician at one of the Moscow clinics “made negative comments regarding the actions of military personnel” as part of the military operation in Ukraine.

“Having learned that a 7-year-old boy was grieving for his father, who died in the Northern Military District zone, the doctor reacted with ridicule, accompanying her reaction with statements about the legal nature of the actions of the armed formations of Ukraine,” the statement states. press release TFR. The progress of the investigation was monitored by the central office of the department.

According to media reports, the widow of a military man who died in a special operation, Anastasia Akinshina, complained about the 67-year-old doctor. She did not provide any evidence. Ms. Buyanova herself denies that she said such a thing. The doctor, as the media reported, was fired “one day.” After the head of the Investigative Committee ordered to initiate a case, the woman was searched on the same day.

Today, February 3, the case materials were received by the Tushinsky court. The investigation demanded the arrest of Nadezhda Buyanova, TASS was told in court. As a result, by a court decision, the woman was prohibited from communicating with witnesses in the case, their representatives and other participants in the case (except for the defense, investigators, prosecutor), as well as sending and receiving postal and telegraphic items, using communications and the Internet.
