A coolant leak occurred on the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS). reported in the state corporation Roscosmos.
The main thermal control circuit of the Nauka module is operating normally, and nothing threatens the crew and the station. “The work of the department’s main operational group continues to analyze the current situation,” the message says.
The module was delivered to the station in 2010 and installed during the spacewalk of Russian cosmonauts this summer, the corporation said.
In September 2020, in the Russian Zvezda module of the ISS discovered air leak. Then the leak also did not pose a danger to the life and health of the station crew. In the summer of the same year, an air leak happened in the American segment.
On February 11 of this year, Roscosmos said that the Progress MS-21 cargo ship, which was scheduled to complete its flight as part of the ISS next week, was depressurized. It was clarified that the incident did not affect the docking of the ship with the ISS.
