On December 20, at 17.35, the OTR TV channel will host the premiere of the TV play “Nuclear Shield”.
This year, on the stage of the Moscow Palace of Pioneers, the premiere of the play “History of the country – the history of intelligence. Nuclear Shield.
Created with the support of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia, the theatrical musical and choreographic performance turned out to be truly unique. The performance involves children of different ages from the creative teams of the capital: the Theater of Young Muscovites, the Song and Dance Ensemble named after V.S. Lokteva – talented, singing and dancing. Despite the very young composition of the artists, the production raises the most serious questions concerning not only our history, but also tragic events on a global scale.
The performance sends the viewer to the victorious May 1945. The Great Patriotic War has just ended, and the long-awaited era of peace and creation has begun. But August 1945 struck and the radio announcer’s voice announced the tragedy of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki…
It’s scary to think: as a result of the American nuclear bombing, the total loss of the civilian population of Japan exceeded 450 thousand people!
450 thousand lives, 450 thousand destinies, hopes, dreams, plans – everything was wiped off the face of the Earth at the behest of American politicians …
The performance emotionally conveys all the colossal horror of the tragedy: a gentle girlish voice sounds from the screen … The phrases spoken in Japanese literally eat into the mind, making the child feel the pain and the animal fear of the adult.
But the next, whom the Western aggressors were going to destroy, should have been us! … Only our country, which lost more than 20 million people in the war, could truly sympathize with Japan. And only our country was able to create nuclear parity so that such tragedies would not happen again.
The performance tells about Soviet scientists and domestic intelligence officers who worked on the creation of a nuclear shield that ensured peace on the planet.
In addition to the fact that the TV show “Nuclear Shield” turned out to be an extremely spiritual story about the time of worries and hopes, the production also has an important educational function. In fact, this is a project-lesson, a lecture-reflection on the history of our state and its sons, who stood up to protect the country and all of humanity!
The teleplay, which you will see on the OTR channel on December 20 at 17:35 under the name “Nuclear Shield”, gives an idea of those terrible events and at the same time inspires hope under the life-affirming final concert number of the Ensemble named after. V.S. Lokteva “Children should laugh and live in a peaceful world!”.
