At the stadium of the Atlet sports complex in the city of Apatity, Murmansk region, the regional championship in sports and applied dog breeding “Russian Ring Zapolyarye” was held, the Ministry of Sports reports. The participants competed in the “combined” discipline – a general training course plus protective guard service.
The competition took place in four stages, which included protective work in the stadium, detection, detention, attack prevention and distraction control of the dog.
At the end of the championship, among experienced participants, Dmitry Vasiliev and the German shepherd Atom won. In second place are Alexander Stroganov and Malinois Richard, in third place are Svetlana Lappo and the German shepherd Octavian.
Among the newcomers, the best were Vladimir Kamuz and the German shepherd Magnat.
Earlier, the Russian Cup in alpine skiing was launched in the region. “MK in Murmansk” wrote that the starts will take place in Kirovsk and Polyarnye Zoryi.
