More than 40 athletes from 7 teams representing military units and units of the Russian Guard of the Khabarovsk garrison met in the fights.
In the first round, military personnel and employees demonstrated hand-to-hand combat techniques. Participants who performed techniques and actions with high quality were admitted directly to the fights.
“Hand-to-hand combat competitions are an integral part of the training of the district’s troops. Each National Guard member, in the course of performing assigned combat and official tasks, is required to know and master the techniques of self-defense, neutralization and detention of criminals. It is technology and practice that the troops pay special attention to,” said the head of physical training of the district, Lieutenant Colonel Nikolai Gorokhov.
As a result of spectacular and principled fights, first place in the team competition was taken by servicemen of the separate special forces unit “Typhoon”. In second place are athletes from the Khabarovsk security and support battalion. Representatives of the naval squad rounded out the top three winners. The results of the competition counted towards the Spartakiad of the Eastern District of the Russian National Guard.
To the sound of a military orchestra, the winners and runners-up were awarded cups, medals and diplomas.
