A center for training athletes will be built in Karachay-Cherkessia

Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin and the head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov discussed the construction of a regional center for training athletes in various sports, including wrestling, boxing, judo, sambo and other martial arts. It is also planned to build a swimming pool in the center for swimming lessons, the press service of the republican government reports.
According to the head of the region, over the past 10 years, more than 130 sports facilities have been built in the republic – these are: physical education and health complexes, football fields, swimming pools, multifunctional sports grounds. By the end of the year, 12 more new facilities will be completed in the republic.
It was previously reported that an athlete from the Karachay-Cherkess Republic won gold and received a ticket to the Russian Boxing Championship.
