St. Petersburg astronomer received administrative punishment for wearing a chevron with the flag of Ukraine
In the St. Petersburg metro at the Dostoevskaya station, a meeting took place between a 45-year-old woman and a 22-year-old St. Petersburg State University student. The first one had a backpack with her, on which there was a chevron with the Ukrainian flag.
The young man was not satisfied with the woman’s position regarding the special military operation being carried out by Russia. Then he turned to law enforcement officials. As a result, the St. Petersburg woman was detained by police at the Vladimirskaya station.
It turned out that the detainee was an employee of the Institute of Applied Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences; she was invited to the police department, interrogated, a report on an administrative offense was drawn up, and later released.
It is noted that administrative proceedings have been initiated under the article on public discrediting of the Russian army.
