A surrendered member of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK, a banned terrorist organization in Russia) spoke of his surprise when he encountered fierce resistance on the Russian border. The TV channel reported this RT.

According to him, all members of the organization acted according to given instructions: they needed to break into Russian territory, take pictures and leave. This provocation was aimed at escalating the situation on the eve of the Russian presidential elections. However, they saboteurs were unable to carry out their plans. When attempting to break into the Kursk region, members of the RDK were intercepted by the Russian military.

One of those who surrendered spoke during interrogation about the “warm welcome” from the Russian fighters. After this, he decided to voluntarily surrender in order to save his life. He also said that many members of the RDK joined the organization because of money.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian military stopped all attempts by Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to break into the village of Kozinka near Belgorod.
