A boxer from Sakhalin fulfilled the standard for candidate master of sports at the all-Russian tournament

Sakhalin resident Daniil Slepukhin fulfilled the standard for candidate master of sports at the All-Russian boxing tournament in Khabarovsk. This was reported by the press service of the OSAU DO “School School “Crystal”.
Participants from 23 regions of the country competed for awards at the competition. This year, the Khabarovsk Mayor’s Cup received a special status – class A. Masters, candidates for master of sports and first-class holders were allowed to participate in the competition. Thus, the winners aged 17-18 years old got a chance to earn the title of master of sports.
Among the brightest participants in the tournament was Daniil Slepukhin, a student of the Crystal sports school from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. He put on an impressive performance, scoring three victories and winning the gold medal.
The boxer’s coach Alexander Yakushev expressed satisfaction with the results, emphasizing that in addition to first place in the tournament, Daniil also fulfilled the standard for candidate master of sports of Russia, which is an excellent achievement.
The remaining members of the Sakhalin boxing team won bronze medals at the tournament. Among them are Iskander Mikailov (48 kg), Almambet Batyrov (75 kg), Dmitry Dolgorukov (up to 60 kg), as well as Sergey Vasilev (51 kg) from Shakhtersk. Nikolay Baryshev from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was recognized as the best judge of the tournament.
