A book about the Museum of the History of Karelian Sports was presented in Petrozavodsk

According to the Minister of Education of the Republic Roman Golubev on his VKontakte page, Yevgeny Shorokhov’s book “Museum of Sports History of Karelia” was presented on July 12 at the National Library of Karelia.

The book continues the cycle of publications “Through the Pages of the History of Karelian Sports” and tells about the stages of creation and activities of the Museum of the History of Karelian Sports in 1993-2016-2023.

The pages of the work contain more than 350 archival photographs and documents. The author paid special attention to the founder of the Museum, Vladimir Kiselev, and the first Karelian athlete, Olympic champion Fyodor Terentyev.

Roman Golubev thanked the author of the book and everyone involved in its creation, and also awarded the museum staff for their contribution to preserving the history of the development of physical culture and sports in our republic.
