The working group on the issues of the special operation submitted to the State Duma a draft law that would extend the payments for compulsory state insurance to the actual educators of all the dead participants in the special operation. Now older brothers or sisters, grandparents and other relatives of only fighters who have died since July 14, 2022 can receive payments, informed head of the group Andrey Turchak in his Telegram channel.
“We reflected the proposal to eliminate this injustice in the third report of the working group on NWO issues, which was recently presented to the president. We expect that colleagues in the State Duma and Federation Council will promptly consider it and support it,” he wrote.
In an explanatory note to the published bill it is stated that the actual educators who properly carried out the upbringing and maintenance of military personnel for at least five years were attributed in 2020 to family members of military personnel entitled to receive a one-time allowance and monthly compensation. But they were classified as beneficiaries under compulsory state insurance in the event of the death of military personnel only from July 14, 2022. The bill extends this provision to all cases from February 24, 2022.
The implementation of the law will take place within the budget allocated for the financial support of military personnel and their families, since the number of actual educators who will be affected by the measure is “insignificant,” the document says.
On December 20, 2022, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed an order to create a working group to ensure interaction between public authorities and organizations on issues of mobilization, social and legal protection of citizens participating in a special operation and their families. chambers and war correspondents. The group was headed by the secretary of the General Council of United Russia, the first vice-speaker of the Federation Council Turchak. Its first meeting was held on December 28, 2022 at the Ministry of Defense.
The Group must prepare proposals for improving the legal regulation in the area of its activities and monitor their implementation. A monthly report on the work of the group is submitted to the president, it consists of open and closed parts, Turchak said.
