The volunteer battalion named after Bogdan Khmelnytsky, which was allegedly formed from former members of the Ukrainian armed forces, entered service in the Russian operational combat tactical formation (OBTF) “Cascade”. This was announced by unit commander Andrei Tishchenko in a video published by the state agency “RIA News”.
“At the moment, we have entered service in the military unit of the Cascade OBTF, and we will carry out our further service directly here. We will also be taking the oath. We will take the oath at the end of our educational process,” said Andrei Tishchenko.
It is alleged that fighters from the Cascade OBTF appeared at the training center about three weeks ago. After taking the oath, according to Andrei Tishchenko, they will go to the combat zone.
