The traditional basketball tournament in memory of Viktor Promin will start in Omsk in the near future. About 350 athletes will take part in it.
From Thursday, January 5, until Monday, January 9, Omsk will host the “XXII Basketball Tournament in Memory of Honored Coach of Russia Viktor Promin.” Victor Promin has prepared a large number of masters of sports for forty years of his coaching activity. Among them is the 1972 Olympic champion Ivan Dvorny.
28 teams from Omsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Barnaul, Novy Urengoy, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Tyumen, Tobolsk, Chelyabinsk and Ulan-Ude will take part in the competition. According to the press service of the city administration, the Omsk basketball school is represented by teams coached by Olga Sergeyevna Aprosich, Natalya Evgenievna Druzhinina and Lyudmila Alexandrovna Khalyavka.
The grand opening will take place in the city sports school named after V.N. Promina, on Thursday, January 5, at 16:30, at the address: Tsiolkovsky street, 1-A.
