Danis Zaripov is a legendary personality for Magnitogorsk and the hockey club. Here number 25 spent several seasons – from 2013/14 to 2016/17. As a member of the Magnitogorsk team, he twice won the Gagarin Cup.
The player officially retired from his career in the 2022/23 season, playing for Ak Bars Kazan. It is noteworthy that it is precisely before Metallurg’s home match with this club that the ceremonial raising of the banner with the hockey player’s name will take place under the arches of the ice arena. Thus, Zaripov’s name will take its place among other legendary players of the master team who played for Metallurg in different periods.
