A 77-year-old St. Petersburg resident sued the director of an intimate store

He claims that sex products sold there caused him suffering

A rather unusual case was brought to one of the magistrates’ courts in St. Petersburg. The servant of Themis will have to consider the claim of a 77-year-old resident of the northern capital against an intimate goods store that sold a low-quality vacuum pump with an attachment.

According to the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg, the man bought a sex product for 1,570 rubles. As a rule, such toys for adults cost much more, but this is not the lowest price. However, we did not have to rejoice at the purchase for long: already on the second day of use, a key rubber part of the product burst, which made its further use impossible. The pensioner carefully examined the damaged item, found “aging cracks” on it and came to the conclusion that the product was defective. The next day, the pensioner went to the store again in the hope of exchanging the damaged toy for a new one, but he was refused.

Then he sued the director of the sex shop. In the lawsuit, he indicated, in particular, that the seller, in his opinion, deliberately purchased defective products at reduced prices. He asks the court to examine the pump for hidden defects, return the money he spent on it, and also collect a penalty of 4.9 thousand rubles. But that’s not all: he also asks to recover from the defendant moral damages in the amount of 15 thousand rubles. The tireless pensioner explains the latter by the fact that he suffered physical and moral suffering. This whole “toy” story led to his increased nervousness and worries, and doctors long ago forbade our hero to be nervous, at this age it is unsafe for his health. The claim will be considered soon.
