A 15-year-old resident of Voronezh won the Asian Chess Championship

The day before in Tashkent, the Voronezh chess player Olesya Vlasova took first place in the category among girls under 15 years old. This was announced on the Telegram channel by the head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Voronezh Region Dmitry Sobolev on Saturday, July 15.
The Asian Chess Championship among schoolchildren started the day before. The Russian team included five chess players, among whom was an athlete from Voronezh. On the first game day, a rapid chess tournament was held. More than 300 players participated in it.
Olesya Vlasova showed a brilliant result, scoring 6 points out of 7 possible. She didn’t lose a single game. In a personal meeting with her main rival, the Voronezh athlete beat her by half a point.
